Techwomen Program

In 2014, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the TechWomen program, a professional mentorship and exchange program that empowers women in STEM from around the world. As someone who was passionate about using technology to make a positive impact, I was thrilled to be selected as a TechWomen Emerging Leader and travel to the United States for an intensive five-week program.

During my time in the program, I was matched with a mentor at a leading technology company in Silicon Valley. My mentor was a seasoned professional with years of experience in my field, and she provided invaluable guidance and support as I worked on a project that addressed a critical social issue in my home country.

The TechWomen program also provided me with opportunities to meet and network with other emerging leaders from around the world. It was inspiring to connect with women who were using technology to solve a wide range of social and economic challenges in their communities, and I learned so much from their experiences and perspectives.

One of the highlights of the program was the cultural exchange activities, which allowed us to explore different parts of the United States and learn about American culture. We visited museums, attended concerts, and even had the chance to visit the White House and meet with government officials.

Overall, my experience with the TechWomen program was truly life-changing. I gained new skills, made lasting connections with mentors and fellow emerging leaders, and returned to my home country with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment to using technology to make a difference. I would highly recommend this program to any woman in STEM who is looking to grow both professionally and personally, and make a positive impact in her community and beyond.
